Timeline

I’ve seen Roman Polanski’s Repulsion (1965) recently. An amazing piece of work that skillfully transports the viewer’s mind into the increasing hallucinating perception and madness of the protagonist, a young woman played by Catherine DeNeuve. The continuously growing level of suspense is incredible. The film is also an amazing example of a story that for most of the time focuses on one character only and overall has very little dialogue — which I find is quite a challenge for a screenwriter and director. For me, the audiovisual representation of the main character's inner emotions works very well.

Below is a trailer, but I’m not too fond of it. It doesn't do the film justice and it definitely reveals too much of the story. So if you haven’t seen the film yet but intend to watch it I strongly advise against seeing the trailer now.
